Lori Kieftenbeld

Vice Principal

Lori Kieftenbeld has served in Sturgeon Public Schools for over a decade, shaping
her leadership through various roles. At Camilla School, she supported Pre-K to
Grade 9 students as an educator and Mental Health and Wellness Coach, while
leading literacy and numeracy intervention initiatives. Known for her creativity,
enthusiasm, and student-centered approach, Lori prioritizes hands-on learning
and meeting students where they are.


Most recently, she served as Vice Principal and Learning Support Lead at Ochre Park School, supporting the Redwater community. These roles have deepened her commitment to fostering inclusive, collaborative environments where all learners, and educators, can thrive.


Lori holds a Leadership Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School and is currently pursuing a Master's in Inclusive
Education through the University of Calgary.


Originally from the East Coast, Lori brings a community-centered perspective to
her work, with a strong focus on equity, inclusion and relationship building. With
personal experience in military family life, she understands the value of belonging
and connection. She looks forward to this next chapter, supporting the students,
staff and families at Guthrie School.
