Positive Playgrounds is a program offered at the grade one to six school level. In it, older students may help to act as mentors during recess. They help to organize games and events for students, including younger grades, to participate in under the supervision of two adult staff members.
Positive Playgrounds gives students a game or activity and friends to play with. It builds cooperation and communication skills and gives students a strong sense of belonging and fun.
Activities can include ball hockey, parachute games, snow fort building, running, ice slides and more.
